This paper concludes with a proposed framework for replicating collaborative stakeholder approaches, suggesting we're close to a breakthrough where states can now truly draw from the precedents to implement change with speed and to scale.

Since the launch of the Green MLS Tool Kit efforts last year, more and more real estate agents and others in the building industry have been teaming up to green their Multiple Listing Services (MLS).
Interest in this effort stems from strong sentiment among many real estate industry representatives that green can be a response to rising energy prices and an aging, inefficient housing stock. And creating a compelling case for making sustainable housing choices a priority.
Further, federal, state, and local governments have taken notice of the cultural shift toward sustainability and have spread around incentives to improve buildings' efficiency and diminish the country's dependence on non-renewable energy sources. Read more
